Clasic Group was started as a small construction and promoters company in the early 1990s specializing in individual bungalows and duplex type houses. The original name of the company was Clasic Promoters. Some of the prominent areas where designer houses were built under the banner are Adyar, Indira Nagar, Valmiki Nagar, T. Nagar, Anna Nagar, Guindy, Adambakkam etc.
The Group was founded by Mr. R. Baba Shankar, Managing Director. He is a commerce graduate from Vivekananda College, Chennai and has traveled widely and worked with various corporate companies in India in senior positions before starting this venture.
The Co-Founder of the Group is Mrs. Bhanumathi Baba Shankar, an architect by profession and a graduate from Anna Engineering College, Guindy. She has worked in various capacities with well-known architect firms besides the Government of India before participating in this venture.
Together what they started as a small venture in early 1990s has bloomed into a full fledged and exclusive gated community, precision built having within the campus, a Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple, an exclusive Club and access to well thought out infrastructure. Together they have fully developed 100000 sq.Ft of built-up space besides developing and promoting acres of land.
The Baba Shankars are activelyinvolved Rotarians having planted about 12000 trees over the last 10 years and having recently inaugurated the large rain water harvesting project in Tamil Nadu.
